Post Doctorate Research Associate – Machine Learning Cloud Physics

The Atmospheric, Climate, and Earth Sciences Division at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) seeks a postdoctoral scientist to perform research to improve understanding of cloud physics with a focus on climate. Working with PNNL scientists, the successful candidate will help with the development of Machine Learning components of cloud physics schemes across scales, with a focus on climate and Earth System Modeling.

The successful candidate will be expected to publish scientific results in peer-reviewed journals and communicate research results at conferences and workshops.  Additionally, the position will provide opportunities to interact with scientists at PNNL, and other national laboratories and universities collaborating on topics in cloud physics and Earth System Modeling.  Teamwork and strong communication skills for engaging with project teams are also essential.
