Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory currently has openings for undergraduate students to support and engage in practical research experience to further their educational goals. Opportunities include completing research and working on various projects within atmospheric science, climate and carbon cycle research, seismology, hydrology, geoscience, environmental science, accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS), and energy research. Our mission is to integrate atmospheric, earth, and energy sciences in support of defense and global security. You will 

  • Work with engineers, scientists, and technical staff members to provide technical and/or research support to projects in the areas relevant to atmospheric, earth, and energy sciences.
  • Participate in research in assigned area under close supervision.
  • Gather and analyze data or information in support of scientific research.
  • Present/communicate results to research group.
  • Perform technical assignments of a basic degree of complexity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
