Identifying the skills necessary to achieve success in a desired field can be challenging for early career scientists. Join The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Basic Energy Sciences – Early Career Network for a Career Skills After a PhD webinar, where panel members will provide perspectives from their career paths in government, academia, national laboratories, and industry. This Zoom webinar is free and open to the public.

Register for the webinar, which will take place Friday, June 16, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time.

Speakers include Dr. Dawn Adin, program manager for the DOE Office of Biological and Environmental Research, Genomic Science Program, Professor Pal Dauenhauer, professor of chemical engineering and materials science at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Erik Draegar, group lead for the Scientific Computing Group in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Dr. David Moore, executive manager of the Carbon Capture Technology team at GE Research.

The DOE Basic Energy Sciences – Early Career Network is a group of graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and early career scientists in BES centers. The goal is to share best practices between centers, provide workforce development opportunities, and create a network of early career scientists with a passion for energy science.
