Description
Fluxes of AerosoL Continuous Observing Network (FALCON), is a particle flux network over multiple surface types designed to more deeply investigate size-resolved aerosol deposition processes with the aim of improving the accuracy of modeled aerosol removal rates and thus life cycle predictions. Five field sites across the United States have been selected for size-resolved particle flux measurements using eddy covariance to address three key questions: (1) How reproducible are particle flux measurements? (2) To what extent do current and revised parameterizations capture dry deposition across different surfaces of the planet? (3) To what extent do different surfaces act as particle sources?
